Manga Jiman 2012 Shortlist

2012′s Manga Jiman Competition closed at the end of November – after months of anticipation, it’s good to see more than a few familiar names on the shortlist, including a decent smattering of former Non Repro contributors!

The shortlist is as follows, with the final winning order to be announced at the awards ceremony in February:

bfore is a new and innovative greetings card platform that allows you to send hand written cards to anyone, anywhere, without a known delivery address.

The Facebook integrated service allows members to celebrate with real-deal greetings cards- but without the hassle of digging out or updating your address book – and better yet your first card is free! It’s a great way of getting in touch with anyone at any time, anywhere in the world, and is far more exciting and personal than leaving a message on their wall.

My White Tee

A few months ago an exciting little project landed in my inbox courtesy of the boys at Hackney Brewery in London.

My White Tee is a collective, bringing those who don’t necessarily step into the limelight into clearer focus; professional behind-the-scenes creatives who all make our lives a little more exciting but often don’t get the love or exposure they deserve.

My White Tee brought together ten creatives from various industries and asked them to design a simple shirt, all of which are now for sale via their website. In addition, they’ve put together a spectacular book interviewing the creatives and providing all round inspiration for those who want to follow their dreams and would like the perspective of those who have managed to set themselves on the path to unconventional success.

I had the privilege of designing Jon’s Tee, representing the Brewery in the most creative manner possible. The other shirts are highly representative of their creatives and there’s something for everybody, so check it out!

The website is still under construction, but all the important bits are there. Why not support your creative industry and get yourselves some awesome Christmas presents courtesy of My White Tee!

Fear of Fiction Zine Fair 10.11.12

If you’re heading to the Fear of Fiction zine fest in Bristol on November 10th keep your eyes peeled for a few copies of Non Repro being handed out courtesy of Drunkenwerewolf Magazine. London MCM Expo October 2012

Are you getting excited about this weekend? We’ll assume YES, as you should be if you are lucky enough to be attending MCM Expo this coming weekend!

Sadly Non Repro will not be at a table this time, but plenty of our contributors and friends will be, so we’re still putting up our usual map. Contributors are highlighted in pink and other super awesome people in blue

Facelift

As you’ve probably noticed, NonRepro.com has had a well earned facelift after several months of neglect whilst all sorts of exciting things have been going on behind the scenes. The shop has been updated with new photos and prices, I’ve been tied up in commissions and a really exciting new anthology (shhhh! It’s a secret!) as well as trying (very hard) to keep my current webcomic Love Delicatessen updated.

But there is excitement on the horizon! Non Repro will be appearing at an event very soon where you’ll be able to pick up a limited quantity of the zine absolutely free! On top of that, if you manage to get a copy, you’ll have a secret discount code for the online shop where you’ll be able to buy one of the few remaining copies of JCult at a massive discount!
