Splendid news!
JCult has arrived and is ready to go – launching at May’s London MCM Expo at the end of the month, this new and final project from Non Repro is limited to 50 numbered copies, available for £14.
120 pages of colour illustrations, colour and black/white comics, tutorials in the basics of traditional techniques, digital comicking and BJDs.
We’ll have some super deals going down so you can catch up on any issues of Non Repro you’ve missed and take home a splendid collection if UK indie awesomeness.

Months later and J Cult is literally a few pages away from completion. This is going to be the final official publication from Non Repro for the foreseeable future, and at 120 pages, it’s going to be an absolute monster!

Yup yup!
Non Repro is officially confirmed for two London Conventions in the next few months, the first being London Super Comic Con in February, followed by our favourite, MCM Expo in May.
A note about LSCC – due to their rules and regulations, as Non Repro takes its influence from Manga stylings, we are unable to sell merchandise at this event. It is strictly comics only. As such any commissions or requests for merchandise need to be emailed in advance and may be collected at the event sneakily and under the table where no one can see.

This festive season has been frantic and I’ve had lots of emails about our next publication that I simply haven’t had time to respond to. As such the deadline for the next publication is being extended to January 10th 2012.

A few days ago, the Japanese Embassy announced their shortlist for the Manga Jiman Competition 2011.
This year’s list has an impressive list of names, not least because it shows the enormous growth and progress in the independent UK Manga scene. Shortlisters include Jade Sarson, who has featured in Non Repro and our Manga Jiman special Nami, from last year’s competition. Also featured are members from Sweatdrop and Indie Manga, two of the best known and most successful independent UK Manga producers.
Congratulations to the shortlisters and well done to everyone who participated this year – the standards we set are ever increasing and making the competition more difficult to judge!
Non Repro would love to collect a few of the shortlisted entries for our next publication. If you have no plans for your entry and would like to contribute to our next edition, please send a low res (readable!) PDF or JPEG set to nonrepo (at) gmail (dot) com by January 1st 2012. If you’d like to pick up last year’s anthology, there are a limited number left in our online shop. If you didn’t make the shortlist, we’re equally interested in seeing your entry and would love to hear from you.

We’re looking for the most gorgeous manga style single illustrations from UK creatives for our next publication. Normally Non Repro discourages too many pinup submissions due to our zine being mostly monochrome, however, as we’re going full colour there’s now no limit!
The best submission will claim the front cover. All artists will be fully credited. This is an opportunity to really show off your skills and be part of a really gorgeous full colour publication showing off the best of UK Eastern inspired talent.
Manga style comic submissions are also still highly desirable! If you have entered the Manga Jiman competition and have no current plans for your entry, why not submit it to Non Repro? Otherwise there is no theme. Ten pages maximum (including a cover image).
As a contributor, you will receive a free digital copy of the full publication and can acquire one of the limited edition numbered run at cost price.
The next deadline is January 1st 2012. Gambatte!
